Take time to look at the different Lapel Pins types including hard-enamel, soft-enamel or die struck, photo-dome and buttons for brief descriptions of each and the reason why you would choose one over the other. Browse our photo gallery and artwork gallery for ideas and actual samples of our work. It really can help the creative juices start flowing.

Hard enamel is a die struck pin with enamel fill.  Enamel is a fancy name for paint.  Once the paint is applied to the pin it is heated at very high temperatures to harden, then it is polished smooth.  Unlike soft enamel, the paint and the metal borders are the same level.  If you rubbed your thumb across the pin it would feel smooth.  On a soft enamel pin you would feel the thin metal borders. Hard enamel Lapel Pin is the new cloisonné.  Hard enamel has been around for over two decades and is also known as Hard Enamel Cloisonné, Epola, New Cloisonné, Clois-Tech, Cloisonné II and Semi-Cloisonné. They all mean the same thing.

Hard enamel lapel pins are considered the high-end of all Pins.  They are more expensive, but if price is not an issue this would be the route to go as hard enamel pins are the best quality, the classiest, and the most durable. They are die-struck and stamped out of brass metal.  The stamping creates recessed areas. These recessed areas are then filled with enamel and fired at high temperatures.  They are then polished smooth creating a beautiful luster and giving the appearance of a nice piece of jewelry.  Since colors cannot blend together or fade into another color – hard enamel is a good choice for any design that has clearly separated colors.  So if only the best will do, or the pin is a reflection of your company logo, or durability is important – hard enamel would be your choice.

Shopping for Online Bargains and Deals

Posted by admin | amazon coupons | Sunday 17 January 2010 12:37 pm

Amazon just reported making over 40 million dollars of online sales for the year 2008. If you stop and think about all the other online shopping stores there are out there, the total amount made for this year is probably in the billions. After listening to the brick and mortar earning reports it easy to see that consumer habits are changing. Gone are the days when people were afraid to use their credit cards online.

The phenomenon is now world wide, and new stores are popping up everyday. Due to the slumping economy, many manufactures are offering free shipping and discount coupons to boot. It’s a consumers market, but is it worth the time to search for new stores and special deals or just stick with the big boys. Well, the truth is that the big boys rule, and most other stores are just franchises.

However, many of these smaller or specialized stores are owned and operated by American citizens, and increasing their income puts money back into the American economy because they are going to go out to their local stores and spend it. So from that perspective, you might want to search out some of the off brand stores and give them a little business. Of course you should read their policies and check out the return policies. In fact you should do that with all shopping online. But, many people don’t and then complain when things don’t go the way they had planned. Book marking or writing things down as you hop from one site to another comparing prices and deals is a good idea as well.

Yes, there are dishonest online retailers, but a savvy eye can usually pick them out of the crowd. Checking reviews on high google page rank sites is a good way to tell the bad from the good. One site I would recommend because I know the man running it is very honest is http://www.zeebotstores.com He has been operating on the web for years, is PayPal verified and has excellent feed back on Ebay under the user name of myzeebot.

But in any case shop around and give the little guy a chance to build up their dream of making money online. I have been lucky in that I have never had any trouble with online transactions since the year 2000.
